With the development of the modern high-rise building,aesthetic standards of people about architecture is becoming more and more unique.As a result of the need of building function and facade design,the irregular structure of all kinds of will appear,especially irregular torsion.Irregular structure of the reverse problem has been popularized by many researchers for a long time,the main reason is that The structure of the torsion failure will have particularly serious consequences.This article will explore about the structure of torsion performance.As we all kown,The study of torsion issue mainly depends on two indexes in the existing specifications,which is period ratio and displacement ratio.they can measure structure of the torsion performance.However,that two indicators control structure of the reverse problem is very difficult in the complex irregular structure.This paper firstly does systematic review about the study of the problem of torsion at home and abroad.In addition,the relationship between torsion effect and displacement ratio,eccentricity ratio,period ratio make a projections in the theory.It introduces torsion angle which is as the auxiliary indicators and measures structure torsion performance.At last,torsion angle can be auxiliary indicators by calculating structure model and engineering example.(1)When period ratio of the structure does not satisfy the requirements,Increasing the eccentricity of the structure will reduce period ratio for the requirement of standard.But it will increase the torsion effect of structures at the same time.As a consequence,we discuss about structural torsional effect when eccentricity is in a certain range.(2)No matter the period ratio is coupling,it can reflect directly the proportional relationship between lateral stiffness and torsional stiffness.When the eccentricity of the structure is between 0.1 and 0.5,they are no differences;When The eccentricity of the structure is between 0.6and 1.2,they have greater differences with the eccentricity increases.(3)It needs to alculate torsion angle between the layers;Torsion angle capacity spectrum is proposed,which can measure torsional performance of the structure.capacity spectrum include demand curve and ability curve.Torsion angle make The torsion deformation performance of irregular plane much more direct.(4)This paper introduces that torsion angle is the limit of structure of reverse discrimination.By introducing a model and an engineering example,the contrast of torsion angle,the internal force,displacement ratio,period ratio will find that the structure of the mechanical performance is good with the lower of torsion angle.At the same time,torsion angle can be auxiliary indicators about torsional property.
