Evaluation Research On Urban Traffic Carrying Capacity Of Wuhan

Urban traffic is the foundation of urban vitality and city's development.With the continuous development of economy and population in Wuhan city,all that will inevitably bring more frequent social contacts and economic trade within the city or between cities.Due to the fast pace of the urbanization development and improvement of the living standard of the residents,and motor vehicles and residents all growing rapidly,that bring increasingly serious traffic congestion and urban environment pollution by traffic problems.In summary,evaluation studies on traffic carrying capacity level of Wuhan City,found out the root cause and solution of traffic problem in Wuhan City,making city traffic sustainable development road in Wuhan,that are the foundation to guarantee the development ofWuhan city.Based on the urban transport geography,principal component analysis,the extension matter-element theory and carrying capacity system theory,the paper studies on carrying capacity of urban traffic in Wuhan,analysis of the city traffic problems faced by sustainable development of Wuhan city and looking for the relevant countermeasures to solve the problem,that all has important significance to solve the city traffic problems,to improve travel efficiency and guiding the urban transportation planning in Wuhan.On the basis of urban traffic carrying capacity related research at home and abroad,the paper studies the urban traffic system,has a clear concept and characteristic of urban traffic carrying capacity,andanalysis the Wuhan city traffic carrying system status and traffic problems in Wuhan;the paper gives depth analysis of the factors influencing the traffic carrying capacity in Wuhan city.According to the principles of index system construction,it constructed urban traffic carrying capacity assessment index system based on the comprehensive of transport resources and environment construction of Wuhan city.And it constructed traffic carrying capacity evaluation model of Wuhan city based on PCA and extension matter-element,determined the weight method of PCA based on depth study on the characteristics of the index system.It applicate the model to evaluate urban traffic carrying capacity level research from year 2010 to 2014 in Wuhan city,from generally up in 2010 to good condition in 2014;It did in-depth analysis respectively on urban carrying capacity evaluation index basing on extension matter element theory and PCA.The analysis results are consistent,namely the inferior part of the bearing capacity of Wuhan urban traffic system are the indicators of urban environmental capacity.The Wuhan city should vigorously develop public transportation and green transportation and promote the sustainable development of urban transport in Wuhan;Finally,according to the analysis result of transport capacity evaluation and indicators of Wuhan city,the paper put forward countermeasures and suggestions to improve traffic capacity level of the concrete in Wuhan city from the aspects as improving the transportation network,optimizing the structure of traffic,greening travel and traffic management,and so on.
