Study On Architectural Space And Decoration Art Of Ma Piyao's Mansion

Located in Anyang,Henan province,Ma Piyao's mansion is a large residence belonging to the governor of Guangxi and Guangdong province,Ma Piyao and his offsprings,in the late Qing dynasty.With its rigorous architectural layout and its elegant style,this mansion is the largest surviving bureaucratic mansion of the late Qing dynasty in the central plains of China and one of the typical representatives of the traditional quadrangle style folk house,which has a great value of research and conservation.At the same time,as an official residence,this research is of great significance to the study of the architectural form of the bureaucratic mansions in the late Qing dynasty.On the grounded of the architectural remains and ancient documents of Ma Piyao's mansion and based on the field investigation and study,by comparing with ot her traditional residence in Henan,this paper starting from the perspective of design,with the architectural form art and architectural decoration art as its main line,is divided into for discussion and analysis.The first chapter is an introduction,which briefly describes the significance of the research of Ma Piyao's mansion and the facing problems of the traditional local-style dwelling houses,as well as the research status of Ma Piyao's mansion both at home and abroad,elaborating the direction and contents of this article.The second chapter focuses on the historical background and general situation of Ma Piyao's mansion.First of all,it analyzes the natural geomorphological features and social and historical backgrounds in Anyang.Secondly,according to the existing documents,this paper gives a expoundation of the general situation of Ma Paiyao's mansion and relative historical backgrounds.The third chapter focuses on the architectural space shape of Ma Piao's mansion.Through the analysis of the structure and layout characteristics of the buildings in various districts of Ma Piyao's mansion,the organizational relationship and construction characteristics of these spaces are obtained.The fourth chapter analyzes the artistic features of the architectural decoration ofMa Piyao's mansion.In combination with the cultural background,architectural environment,architectural structure,themes and patterns of Ma Piyao's mansion,a comprehensive analysis of the architectural decoration is made and the connotation and characteristics of it are presented one by one.The fifth chapter expounds the value of Ma Piyao's mansion through the analysis of the historical,cultural and artistic value of it.Meanwhile,this chapter discusses the protection status and the inheritance to the architectural culture of Ma Piyao's mansion.The final conclusion part is a summary of the whole thesis and expounds the arguments.
