Energy efficiency and renewable energy have got more and more attention due to the energy crisis and environment pollution. Many researchers have studied on the distributed energy system consisted of Combined heat cooling and power system(CCHP)and renewable energy since its high energy efficiency and environmental friendliness. This paper studies the configure optimization and operating characteristics of the CCHP combined with photovoltaic system(CCHP+PV)applied in three five star hotels.Firstly, the annual building load of the hotels are calculated through DeST and the systems are designed according to the energy demand.Utilizing HOMER,the capacity of the gas engine and the PV are optimized with the goal of economy. The results indicate that the best rated power of gas engines for the three hotels are 60%,70% and 80% of the maximum electric load of the building, respectively, and the best rated power of PV system is 100%,100% and 90% of the maximum electric load. Finally, the performance of the CCHP+PV systems are compared with the centralized energy system and the CCHP system.Utilizing Primary Energy Utilization Rate,Annual Total Cost Saving Rate and Carbon Dioxide Emission Reduction Rate, the thermodynamic, economic and environmental performance of the systems are evaluated. The results show that the CCHP+PV system in hotel buildings have certain advantages in economic and environmental performance compared with the CCHP and CES.In Hotel A,B,C,the Annual Total Cost Saving Rates of the CCHP+PV systems are 11.88%,4.70%,1.86%,the Carbon Dioxide Emission Reduction Rates are 46.87%,40.79%,46.19%.While the Primary Energy Utilization Rate of CCHP+PV systems are lower due to the low efficiency of the PV system.
