In the railway bridges across the river, the pier foundation is often affected by the erosion.Under severe conditions, the pier foundation will be hollowed out, eventually resulting in the reduction of the foundation stiffness and the bearing capacity of the bridge structure. In order to clarify the influence of erosion on the bridge and the stability of the bridge after reinforcement, this paper carried out the research on Cihe Bridge in the SHUOHUANG Heavy-Duty Railway. The main research contents are as follows:(1)The finite element model was established. The variation of the amplitude of the bridge span and the top of the pier was analyzed. The results show Bridge piers have weakened lateral stiffness after erosion. The displacements of Pier Crown and mid span of the bridge are greater than the specification.Bridge operational performance is affected.(2)The displacement of mid span of bridge are compared before and after adopting the foundation reinforcement. The results show the displacements of mid span of the bridge are significantly reduced after the foundation reinforcement, and the maximum value of the displacement of the 9# Pier is reduced by 0.59 mm compared with the washed state of the bridge pier, and the reduction reaches 31%.The maximum value of the displacements of mid span measured at the 10# Pier was reduced by 0.84 mm,with a decrease of 37%.(3)The displacement of pier crown of the bridge are compared before and after adopting the foundation reinforcement. The results show that after the foundation reinforcement,The displacement of pier crown of the bridge is significantly reduced.Taking the 10# pier with the largest depth of erosion as an example. After adopting the foundation reinforcement, the displacement of pier crown of the 10# pier is reduced by 0.18 mm,with a decrease of 53%..
