Method Study On Fine Design Of Intersection From Traffic Individual Perspective

As the bottleneck of urban roads,the urban road intersection is the most prone tocongestion.The planning design of intersections in our country generally simple,causing that many cities have simple intersection design,extensive design,low operation efficiency and other problems.And dominated by the concept of motor vehicle guidance all the time,the intersection mainly serves vehicles and the demands of other traffic individuals are less considered.Based on the above situation,this paper analyzes the existing problems of intersection design from the angle of traffic individual based on the current prominent problems,and mainly studies the defined design methods and principles to improve these problems.It could provide the reference method for the implementation of the fine intersection design with not only professionals but also non-professionals.First of all,this paper classifies different types of users of urban road intersections into four categories: pedestrian,biking,public transport and driving,respectively analyzes the travel demands and characteristics in the process of using road intersections,mainly studies defined design for traffic individual services,and draws the application types and design principles.Secondly,for the improper parts in the current urban intersection planning design field,such as too large turning radius,the waste of intersection corner space,intersection side parking,thus affecting individual traffic,the conflict between right-turn vehicles and cyclists,the intersections that light rail or BRT pass blocking the traffic individual,too fast vehicle speed in small street intersections,hard to reach the middle landscape area of circular intersection,etc.,It deals with each direction of intersection and various kinds of traffic individual according to different problems,solves the prominent problems at present,puts forward the fine design methods and principles and summarizes its applicability,so as to provide reference for the fine construction of intersection in our country.Finally,according to the design method and principle,it is applied to the actual case reconstruction.With the help of VISSIM software,it carries out traffic simulation analysis for the intersections before and after the transformation and draws that under the same land area or even smaller area,the intersection can satisfy the traffic individual needs and provide more comfortable experience through fine design.
