| In recent years,the pace of urbanization in China has gradually eased,and the way of treating old buildings also tends to be appropriately adapted and reused.Among the many old types of buildings,residential buildings have a small space based on physical scale.The addition of houses grown organically over time and building materials filled with regional features are living specimens that preserve the collective memory and humanistic characteristics of the city.The renovation and design of such old buildings is a topic worthy of study.Baotou No.18 North Yard is a residence in the former site of Shanliang District,Beiliang City,Baotou City.It was originally built as a dual-use commercial and residential compound in the period of the Republic of China.It is built continuously over time and is built by a family.It gradually became a shantytown with 36 households of 108 people and formed a very rich spatial pattern.Since 2014,Beiliang has begun a large-scale transformation of the shantytowns.The residents who originally resided in No.18 Yard of Beiliang,Baotou,have all moved to their new homes.The hospital has been fully preserved due to its rich research value and plans to renovate it.It is an exhibition hall to demonstrate the living conditions of the people in the shanty town of Baotou’s northern Liang area.The research content of this paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the research of the introduction part,which explains the research background,research purpose,research significance,research necessity and research content and methods of related issues.Followed by the investigation of No.18 Yard in Beiliang,Baotou.The investigation is divided into two aspects.On the one hand,it is the site investigation of No.18 Yard in Beiliang,Baotou,including the site environment,spatial structure,and the status quo of materials and structures of the building to record the current status of the building and collect first-hand information for the next study..On the other hand,it is the historical research on the No.18 Institute of Beiliang,Baotou.Through data review and in-depth interviews,it has organized local residents’ oral history as the main method,combed the history of architecture’s century-long spatial evolution,and explored the formation of such a spatial pattern.the reason.The research results of these two parts will become the design basis for the reconstruction of the buildings.This is followed by a further interpretation of No.18 Yard in Beiliang,Baotou,and a comprehensive analysis of its value to formulate the principles for restoration of old buildings.Finally,based on the research results that have been achieved,in respect of the comprehensive value of No.18 Yard in Beiliang,Baotou,and in accordance with the principles of building restoration,the design concept was determined.From the site design,architectural design,material selection,and detailed nodes,etc.The 18 th house was remodeled and designed. |
