Urban traffic congestion has become an important factor restricting the rapid development of social economy.The rise and development of intelligent traffic guidance provide advanced theoretical basis for the effective operation of urban traffic.Therefore,this article focuses on the urban traffic congestion mechanism and VMS location problem in traffic guidance.This paper establishes the traffic flow simulation model from the microscopic level,verifies the correctness and feasibility of the microscopic model.On this basis,establish a traffic congestion model to study the congestion mechanism of the road section,and determine the traffic status of the road section at the same time.This paper discusses the key technologies of location selection of VMS in traffic guidance,analyzes the layout effect of road traffic in all sections of the road network,namely the incidence of traffic accidents on the road section;proposes that the driver obeys the induced transition probability model when receiving the VMS,and simplifies the model for the diversity of factors that affect the driver’s path selection behavior,and establishes a general simplified model that reflects the driver’s choice behavior.This paper proposes that the other driver’s path selection behavior in traffic information has a certain influence on the driver’s individual travel behavior,and uses the game algorithm to study the influence degree of other driver’s path selection behavior on individual driver’s travel choice,and determines the game mix strategy in the choice behavior.Based on the detailed study of backtracking method and cloud model,the thesis proposes an improved genetic algorithm.At the same time,through the theoretical analysis,the VMS deployment principle of the improved genetic algorithm is determined,and the virtual road network is taken as the research object,the backtracking method and the improved genetic algorithm are simulated and compared.The improved genetic algorithm has better characteristics in the siting research.The paper selected a local road network in the west of Xiaozhai Cross of Xi’an City as the research object and traffic flow data was investigated.The improved genetic algorithm method was used for case analysis to determine the location of VMS in the road network.The paper studies the urban traffic congestion mechanism from the microscopic level,and determines the traffic operation status at the same time.The proposed traffic-induced VMS location model based on the improved genetic algorithm effectively determines the VMS layout of the actual road network.
