Analysis Of Traffic Congestion Index In Urumqi City

Studying the traffic operation and congestion index of large-scale cities has practical significance for mastering traffic conditions,formulating transportation emergency plans,urban planning and construction.Based on the characteristics of traffic in Urumqi,this paper summarizes and summarizes the features of traffic operation and congestion assessment indicators.It also studies and summarizes the evaluation indicators of road structure congestion in different areas and different levels of road sections,roads,traffic corridors,and regional road networks.Using traffic survey methods,mastered the current road network congestion situation;Investigated the motor vehicle driver’s feelings of road congestion,and established a relationship between road network monitoring data and people’s feelings of congestion,and guided the public’s correct attitude to traffic congestion problems;Established a long-term data collection and protection mechanism;Use traffic congestion index,congestion mileage ratio,duration of congestion,vehicle speed,etc.as indicators of congestion assessment;Through a large amount of data collection and analysis,the Urumqi City Traffic Operation and Congestion Index Analysis System was established to achieve full-time monitoring of traffic conditions in the city,which could provide an auxiliary decision-making basis for the formulation of transport facilities.
