Adaptive Cruise Control(ACC)is a research hotspot in the field of automobile driving assistance.Use auto adaptive cruise control system can reduce the driving load,improve the ride comfort,reduce driver's misoperation,and improve road capacity.It has important engineering practical value.The control strategy is the core content of the ACC system research.This paper studies the control method of ACC system based on the fuzzy control principle,proposes a fuzzy control strategy to simulate the driver's operating experience,and improves the accuracy and stability of ACC following cruise control.The content of this thesis mainly includes:1)Analyze the various components and movement of the vehicle,establish vehicle longi tudinal dynamics model consisted of the engine,hydraulic torque converter,transmission and the composition of the automobile transmission,the vehicle dynamics simulation model was established in Matlab/Simulink..2)The distance model of the ACC system is studied.The vehicle ACC distance model consists of the safety distance and the workshop time interval.The vehicle speed and the relative vehicle speed of the two vehicles are taken into consideration.The ACC system safety clearance algorithm is designed.3)Based on the Bosch MMW radar,a real vehicle experimental platform of adaptive cruise control system is established,and the experimental research on the PID control algorithm in the cruise and follow mode is carried out respectively.4)Research the basic theory of fuzzy mathematics and fuzzy control,simulate actual driving habits of drivers,establish the throttle opening and braking pedal stroke for the output of fuzzy controller based on fuzzy control theory.5)A co-simulation platform was established using Carsim and Matlab/Simulink.According to the three typical driving conditions of ACC vehicle's high-speed cut-in condition,low-speed cut-out working condition and following driving condition,the fuzzy controller designed in this paper was followed in ACC.Performance in cruise control,simulation resultsshow that the controller can achieve high accuracy in following cruise control.
