In modern life,the popularity of automobiles is becoming more and more wide;people have higher demands on safety,comfort and intelligence driving.Auto-adaptive cruise Control System(adaptive)is a new generation of driver-aided driving system developed on the basis of traditional fixed-speed cruise control system,which can reduce the burden of drivers and increase traffic flow by using ACC.In addition,because ACC can make the automobile fuel supply and engine power in between stable level,can effectively reduce fuel consumption and exhaust pollution.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the adaptive cruise control system of automobiles.In this paper,we refer to the research results of many automobile adaptive cruise control systems,and establish a complete vehicle longitudinal dynamic model and a practical safety workshop distance model.Vehicle dynamics model includes aerodynamic drag,rolling resistance,engine model,gear ratio,wheel to RPM,vehicle movement model and so on.In this paper,the adaptive cruise based on PID Controller and the Adaptive cruise algorithm based on fuzzy control is simulated under the matlab/simulink environment,and the typical working condition is simulated and the output of the two is compared.The results show that the ACC system model not only improves the safety of vehicle occupants,but also improves the smoothness and rapidity of traffic flow.Both of these controllers have advantages and disadvantages,which are different in typical working conditions.In some conditions where the car is already in a follow mode,the fuzzy control shows better stability and performance,the overshoot amplitude is small,the operation is smooth,and in some cases where the ACC car suddenly meets a front car,the fuzzy controller can show more realistic results with less overshoot and better stability and for variable speed scenario PID shows more stability.Both of them play an important role in the design of Auto adaptive cruise System.
