In our country,all the waters north to the North of 30 degrees north latitude are frozen,and the buildings in the water area also will be frozen which will lead to structural instability and damage.In this paper,LuoPo-Ridge Bridge in northern Beijing is taken as the research object,and analyze the safety of the LuoPo-Ridge Bridge under the ice load in winter,and analyze the relationship between the ice row characteristics and the impact force of the ice row.The dynamic responses of piers under impact of ice row are studied.In the end,the conclusion of the research are validated and illuminated by numerical analyzing.The LuoPo-Ridge Bridge was built in the 40 s of last century.For its low level of construction,raw materials,and old and partially missing design data,the author conducted a field visit to the site environment of LuoPo-Ridge Bridge,established model with targeted setting and conditional assumptions.As practical as possible,taking the No.6 Pier of LuoPo-Ridge Bridge as a typical example,the following research was conducted:First of all,The article summarizes the project overview of LuoPo-Ridge Bridge,and the type of ice hazard it will face,determine the parameters that affect the ice load.With reference to relevant specifications and literature,selected the appropriate ice load formula,using finite element software to Analyze the reliability of LuoPo-Ridge Bridge in winter.The results show that there is no overall instability damage during the winter in LuoPo-Ridge Bridge.The pier's frontal bearing capacity meets the specification requirements.However,under the combined effect of ice extrusion force,temperature expansion force or temperature expansion and vertical additional force,especially under the effect of ice extrusion force,the tensile stress on the bottom of the pier may exceed the maximum tensile strength of the material used in the corresponding location,and tensile cracks may occur,which may cause safety hazards.It is necessary to strengthen the protection of the pier.Secondly,this paper establishes the impact model of ice row on bridge piers,and studies the dynamic response of No.6 Pier at the time of impact of ice row on the pier.The law of the location of the maximum tensile stress of the bridge pier with the impact time is discussed.The maximum tensile stress is located near the pier cap with in 0.1s~0.4s after the impact of ice.The location,which exceeds the maximum tensile strength of concrete materials used in this location,may present potential safety hazards that require attention.Finally,a brief analysis of the means and methods of anti-icing damage of bridges was carried out.Based on the results of the previous simulations,the effectiveness of the existing experimental ice protection devices installed at LuoPo-Ridge Bridge was verified using numerical simulation methods and measured data.
