Composites are made up of two or more materials which have different performance.Composite packaging materials are a kind of packaging materials which are based on composite technology.Composite packaging materials are the most widely used packaging materials.In Composite packaging materials,paper-based metal composite packaging materials are the most common for the consumers.Paper-based metal composites are composited by aluminum or copper and other metal materials an paper,so paper-based metal composites also have the extensibility of paper and the protection perform ance and gloss of metallic materials.Rolling composite and vacuum aluminum are two traditional processes to produce paper-based metal composite packaging materials,but both of them have huge deficiencies.It's time to change this.Gravure printing is used to produce paper-based metal composites.However,two main problems of this process are following:(1)Aluminum coverage on the face of the composite is too low to protect the product.(2)The gloss which is used to attract consumers of the composite is also too low.The solution to both of them is improving the amount of ink transfer.The paper studies the theory of gravure printing and does these works:The paper select three parameters of gravure printing: printing speed,printing pressure and plate cyl inder parameters.The paper design first round experiment which uses soft paper only and propose a method to measure the coverage.The results of experiment show that improving the amount of ink transfer could improve the coverage.The paper uses Cubic spline interpolation to calculate the best speed and pressure.However,higher coverage brings lower gloss in this experiment,to solve this,the ink with smaller aluminum particles should be used.The paper summarizes theoretical methods to improve aluminum coverage and gloss of composites.The paper does the second round experiment which uses soft paper and cardboard both and calculates the best speed and pressure in advance.The results show that the methods are effective...
