The overhead transmission line is a kind of special wind-sensitive structure. The wind load of the transmission line accounts for a large proportion of the overall wind load of the structure. It is of great significance to study the wind load of the transmission line to the safe operation of the overhead transmission line.At present, there are many researches on the wind load on the transmission line conductors at home and abroad, but there is a lack of system.Domestic and international current transmission line design specifications on the wind load on the wire there is a big difference between the international transmission line project design and construction caused great inconvenience. In this paper, the body shape coefficient is the key point of study.By using FLUENT fluid software, the shape factor of conductor and the coefficient of ice cover enlargement are studied. This article mainly carried out the following three aspects of work:First,in view of the fact that the selection of body shape coefficient varies greatly in the specification, the body shape coefficient of single wire is selected for simulation analysis.Five different wire diameters and five different wind speeds are selected, and a total of 25 working conditions are selected. The simulation results show that the size of the shape factor is related to the Reynolds number, and the selection method of the shape factor in the current code needs to be improved.Secondly,in this paper, only the major factor of GB 50545-2010 has the coefficient of icing enlargement. In view of this difference, the crescent-shaped icing conductor and D-shaped icing conductor at different wind speeds and different wind attack angles The icing conductor shape factor was simulated. The calculation results show that the coefficient of ice icing enlargement is closely related to the icing type, wind attack angle and icing thickness.
