Reinforcement corrosion is the main cause of durability loss in reinforced concrete structure, the corroded reinforced concrete members used for laboratory study are mainly produced by electric accelerated corrosion method at the present stage. However, the main problems of this method are current density, corrosion rate, control of conduction time and the variation of mechanical properties of reinforced concrete after corrosion. This article researches about the corrosion process of reinforced concrete and flexural behavior of corroded reinforced concrete beams.Firstly, this research paper briefly introducts the conditions of reinforcement corrosion in reinforced concrete, analysis damage of oxide film in reinforced concrete, the potential difference on the beam surface and the process of steel corrosion.Apart from that, this paper also mentions two reasons causing the surface oxide film to be destroyed: neutralization of concrete acidification and chloride penetration. Therefore, types of corrosion products are influenced by the environment and material types.Secondly, designed an electrochemistry corrosion experiment to observe the variation on the surface of the beam under the current situation. After a period of time, the corrosion detector is used for detecting corrosion.According to the detection results, under the series circuit, beams corrosion are different at the same electrifying time.Based on the conclusion given above, the resistance electric circuit is used to analyze the corrosion electric circuit.Additionally, the corrosion prediction formula could be modified based on the corrosion results, which is efficient. Finally, made six reinforced concrete beams and two of them are used as a contrast.Four beams are corroded by electrifying, then carried on the flexural bearing capacity experiment.According to the test data, which analyze the conditions of the change of the properties of the corroded steel bar、 Load-displacement relationship、Load-strain relationship, and the change of strain relationship in mid-span section. And then compared with the non-corroded beams. The results indicate that when corrosion rate is small, the bearing capacity of the beam improved. While as the corrosion rate increases, bearing capacity decrease, and when the corrosion rate increases to a certain degree, the mid-span section of the beam is not consistent with the plane section assumption. In addition, after steel bar corrosion, the coordination between steel and concrete would be changed. At the initial period of load, the coordination relationship between the two is basically unchanged. With the load increasing, corrosion rate increases,The steel bar and the concrete coordination are worse.
