Research On The Planning Of Country Parks In Guangzhou Based On The Comparison Between Guangzhou,Shenzhen And Hongkong

Nowadays,the construction and development of country parks have been forming the new trend of urbanization and urban development in China,especial Beijing,Shanghai,and Shenzhen.Those cities have been programming the country park planning based on the planning concept of the “urban country park loops” constructed around cities,and some of the parks have already been constructed.Additionally,the planning and design standards as well as the construction standards of this type of ecological green land are different from the ones used currently.According to my investigation,the city of Guangzhou has its current shortages in developing the standards of country parks;while Hongkong and Shenzhen,the adjacent cities with similar environment and climate conditions,have much more deliberate and advanced standards.Both cities have their referential significance to Guangzhou because Hongkong is a city whose country parks were developed much earlier than Guangzhou and Shenzhen,and Shenzhen,a city with integration of mountain and seaboard,has its more splendid development conditions than Guangzhou.Therefore,this paper is going to demonstrate the investigation on country parks in Guangzhou in terms of their current situations,development tendencies,and planning strategies on the foundation of research,comparison,and analysis on the built country parks in Guangzhou,Hongkong,and Shenzhen.In accordance with the study on ten country parks across Guangzhou,Shenzhen,and Hongkong,this paper is going to present the investigation and survey on different important aspects of country parks including distribution and scale,surrounding context,road traffic facilities,main theme,supporting services and facilities,ecological conservation measures,etc.This paper is also going to illustrate and analyze the problems on planning,design,and management in country parks in Guangzhou.The methodology of investigation and survey for this paper includes field research,document analysis,on-site observation and documentation,and data comparison.This paper is going to include the following main parts: firstly,comparison and difference study of country parks in Guangzhou,Shenzhen and Hongkong regarding their scale,topography,ecological conservation,route design,landscape feature,services and facilities,and usage of visitors.The second part of the essay is going to present the investigation of the planning strategies of country parks in Guangzhou and to propose the goals,principles,as well as four planning measures for Guangzhou,which includes ecological protection,function arrangement,landscape formation,and services facility.This part of the essay is going to discuss the issue based on the examples in Guangzhou including Longtoushan forest park,Dafushan forest park,Tianluhu forest park,and Huolushan forest park.
