In recent years,three-dimensional visualization technology has been widely used in civil engineering,especially in the fields of roads and railways.With the maturity of BIM technology,the road Information Model(RIM)emerges.BIM(Building Information Modeling),as an advanced design means and management platform,is promoting the transformation of production mode in the whole project construction field.The advantages of BIM technology are obvious,widely used BIM technology,on the one hand can improve design efficiency,reduce design costs,reduce human and material waste,maximize the realization of the expected design objectives,on the other hand,can improve the degree of agreement between the various professions.Therefore,the BIM technology will become the future development trend of road engineering design.After the introduction of BIM technology in the field of road design in China,the new idea and function are refreshing.However,the current research and popularization of BIM technology in the field of road design is still insufficient,and it is still in its infancy and exploration stage.Based on the theory of BIM technology,this paper combines BIM technology with road engineering to study its application method in road design.This paper summarizes the current situation of domestic and foreign BIM and the current situation of road design,and points out that informatization will become the future development direction of road construction field,BIM technology would occupy a pivotal position in the future road construction field.And further analyzed the traditional two-dimensional design method and the emerging BIM design method and pointed out the advantages of BIM technology in the field of road design.This paper discusses the parametric construction technology of road information model,and uses civil 3D software to deeply study the road design method based on BIM technology,and sums up a complete road design system.Based on the BIM model,this paper has carried out the corresponding application expansion,which covers the calculation of road earthwork,the collision of many professional design results,earthwork deployment,driving simulation and line-of-sight analysis.On this basis,the paper combines the BIM road design method with concrete engineering example,applies it to Chengdu-Chongqing Interchange Project,further deepens the proposed BIM basic design method,analyzes its technical difficulties,and puts forward the corresponding solving methods.Finally,the BIM model of this project was successfully constructed,and its application to Autodesk Infraworks software was optimized and adjusted,and the feasibility of the technical framework was verified by visual visualization.BIM Technology at present is a very cutting-edge technology,but in the field of road design is still weak,slow progress,whether it can better development,not only in the field of engineering construction industry staff of the continuous efforts,but also need to glow their own charm and the power of the system.
