Along with the construction of the high-speed railway in our country and the increasing investment in railways in recent years, the demand for high-speed railway maintenance equipment is also increasing,so the railway construction machinery industry will have more development opportunity. The GCY-300II heavy-duty railcar produced by Baoji CRRC Times Engineering Machinery CoMPany is specially developed for the maintenance of passenger railway and high-speed railway. It can be used for transportation of materials, tools and personnel in line maintenance,as well as for traction of various railcars. This paper firstly introduced the development and present situation of domestic and foreign passenger train and freight train bogie. For the GCY-300II heavy-duty railcar, the design of the bogie was completed to meet the technical requirements of the vehicle. The 3d model of bogie frame and related parts was built by Pro/E 3d modeling software.ANSYS Workbench finite element analysis software was used to calculate the strength of the frame.Secondly, the static strength and fatigue test of the bogie were studied. Finally, the structure stability and operation safety of the bogie were evaluated by means of real vehicle test.Through the relevant calculation and test analysis, the specifications of the GCY-300II heavy-duty railcar bogie designed in this paper meet the operation requirements of the whole vehicle, which is the basis of the success of the GCY-300II heavy-duty railcar. The bogie studied in this paper has a good application prospect and can be applied to other railcars in the range of this speed. At the same time, the research results provide the relevant basis for the development of the railcar bogie with higher speed, which is of great reference value.
