Recently,rapid growth of food cold chain and the dramatically increasing demand of safety,health and fresh of food spur the fast development of refrigeration and refrigeration equipment manufacturing and force higher demand of refrigeration equipment and its' performance.Based on the demand of the innovation and optimization of the product from industry-university-research corporation-Anhui Meluck Refrigeration Equipment Co.Ltd.,the paper innovated a packaged chilling unit for small cold storages including three product types: High temperature type,Middle temperature type,Low temperature type.The predominant jobs and innovations are as follows: 1)The refrigeration cycle,the structure of the packaged chilling unit and intelligent defrosting control technique were optimized and studied to save energy.2)The packaged chilling unit of LYJ200 MY type was designed.In addition,the condenser was designed and the situation of it under different conditions was simulated.Moreover,the pipelines layout of the evaporator was optimized to reduce the refrigerant flow loss and resistance loss of air.3)The hot gas defrosting with fuzzy adaptive control method was invented to reduce times of defrosting.4)Based on “Calibration box calorimeter method”,the performance test of the packaged chilling unit was designed.The tests of the chilling units with and without optimization were conducted to compare.The data shows that refrigerating capacity and EER of the chilling unit without optimization respectively are 3.125 kW and 1.27W/W.The refrigerating capacity and EER of the optimized one respectively are 3.212 kW and 1.32W/W,which improved 2.7% and 3.78% than the former ones.Also,the average EER of the optimized chilling unit in 48 hours improved 9.3% than the former one.
