Since the development of composite insulators,its superior performance has been widely used in power system.However,as the number of composite insulators is increasing,the operation time increases,the aging problem of insulators gradually becomes apparent,and the aging degree of insulators becomes more and more important.In this paper,the method of Fourier infrared spectroscopy is used to investigate the aging status of the field insulators with different operating years,different voltage grades and different operating environments.The Fourier infrared spectroscopy is used to reflect the change of the molecular group content of the insulator by the reflection of the insulator sample to determine the aging degree of the insulator sample.This experiment has improved the analytical method of infrared spectrum spectrogram,provided a new method of the baseline selection,and analyzed the object from the Angle of molecular motion.For with different azimuth of insulator shed,shed radial location,shed axial location,distribution features of the umbrella to the size of the aging test analysis,and explore electric-field distribution,the operating year,operating environment the influence of the aging of the insulator.FTIR test results show that the different azimuth aging degree of insulator shed show inhomogeneity,the regional distribution is an obvious similarity,distribution for the shed side the most light aging,aging relative increase on both sides of the area,the aging of the lateral area is the most serious;The time of the operation of the insulator is relatively short,and the length of the shed is higher than that of the base of the radial position.The surface aging of the insulator shed is higher than the inside of the shed;the aging degree of the large shed is much higher than the aging degree of the small shed because of the protective effect of the large shed on the occlusion of the small shed.In addition,the insulator is affected by the electric-field and the central shed is less aging.The two ends of the insulator are bad aging;with the increase of operation year,the field insulator aging is aggravated.However,the influence trend of different operation years on insulators is different,and can be divided into three stages: slow aging,rapid aging,and a return to slow aging.The pollution of the operation environment is heavier,the contamination is heavy,the probability of the flash discharge is increased,and the aging is more serious.
