To ensure safe and stable operation of Gas Insulated Substation(GIS),as one of the key equipment in the power system,is of great significance.With the advancement of power overhaul strategy,GIS partial discharge and charge detection technology is also widely used in power system.While,the charge detection technology has just moved to the practical stage,with the continuous development of detection technology and the improvement of lean management level,some restrictions and constraints on the development and application of charge detection technology are also generated.Therefore,it is very important to study the effectiveness of the partial discharge and charge detection technology of GIS equipment.In this paper,the effectiveness study of partial discharge and charge detection technology for GIS equipment is divided into three parts: Analysis of technical principle and application of partial discharge and charge detection technology of GIS equipment,Technical research and system development of instrument calibration of GIS partial discharge and charge detection and the study of effectiveness of partial discharge and charge detection technology.Firstly,analyze in detail about the generation and detection principle of UHF and ultrasonic wave when GIS equipment goes wrong,and study the application in practice and existing problems of detection technology.On the basis of researching the theory,this paper studies in details about the calibration technology and system of the ultrasonic and UHF of the partial discharge and charge detection technology,and analyzes the principle,system composition and function principle of the calibration device of the charged detection instrument.Check the basis of judgment and qualified standards for analysis and design.Through the establishment of defect model of typical GIS partial discharge and the construction of test platform of GIS partial discharge,and analyze the data of the typical defects of the insulators surface fixed metal particles and the high pressure conductor spikes.The effectiveness of the partial discharge and charge detection technology of GIS equipment is studied through the establishment of feature map library and the data characteristics of different discharge stages.And then,the application of the partial discharge and charge detection technology of GIS equipment is promoted and the operational reliability of the power grid is improved.
