Speaking of Chinese gardens,it is China's classical garden that can impress us deeply.Chinese classical garden is a treasure of our country's art.Its historical position, cultural value and world contribution are undeniable. The Chinese classical gardens not only brought us a visual feast, but the space treatment and gardening techniques are worthy of our landscape exploration.Studying the gardening techniques of classical gardens and comprehending the ingenious space composition pattern can lay a foundation for us to make a good modern garden. With the development of the times and the collision of cultural thoughts, many urban landscapes are now influenced by Western gardens, and most of them are the same, and the essence of the classical Chinese garden design is forgotten by us.In the modern urban park landscape,we can use classical Chinese architecture. The space composition mode of the garden is applied to it,which is both the inheritance of Chinese classical gardens and the enrichment of modern garden landscapes. This article first elaborated the concept of the term of time design, and explained in detail the five-point spatial composition pattern of time design, and then summed up the research progress of time design at home and abroad. Then selected examples of typical Chinese classical gardens and modern gardens, namely, the Masters Garden,Humble Administrator's Garden, the Sihe Garden, and the Eighth Garden in Shanghai, from the perspective of the time-designed overall spatial composition model,to each garden.Analyzed, summarized and used for reference, provided ideas for the planning and design of this garden. Finally, under the guidance of the above theories and cases, the planning and design of Ngayuan,Nanle County,Xiangyang City was studied. The project's geographical location, site profile, and surrounding environment were analyzed, and preliminary design ideas were put forward. The planning and design of the master plan for Yayuan was carried out,and the application of the spatial composition model of time design in Yayuan was analyzed. In the general plan,Yayuan is divided into seven functional areas: entrance activity area, recreation area, quiet rest area, hydrophilic activity area, children's activity area, sunshine grass slope area, ecological green forest area, from these seven functions. The district also divided eight landscape nodes: Culture Square,Sizhu Square,Leisure Park,Tree-lined Plaza,Zhiqu Park,Colorful Majestic,Waterscape Corridor and Sunshine Grass Slope, and each nodewas exhibited in the effect of landscape space. Then,it introduced the transportation system planning, spatial analysis,line-of-sight analysis and landscape structure of Yayuan in detail. Finally,it put forward design ideas for each special plan of the park. The space of Chinese classical gardens is rich and varied, and the space of modern gardens is mostly transparent. At a glance, this article is a small practice. This theory is applied to the theory of spatial composition of classical garden time design. In modern gardens,we try to create a large space experience in a small green space and create a modern garden landscape with the spatial characteristics of Chinese classical gardens. This is only a preliminary attempt, and it is hoped that it will be helpful for the subsequent theoretical research of Chinese classical gardens, and will provide a reference for the practice of Chinese classical garden inheritance.
