Energy is the lifeblood of the national economic development. With the rapid development of China’s economy,China’s energy consumption also increase gradually. In our country’s energy consumption, building energy accounted for about a quarter of the total energy consumption. Therefore, building energy conservation is particularly important.BIM technology as a new type of building energy efficiency innovation tools,is gradually take the place of traditional software simulation of building energy consumption analysis.Through the establishment of BIM information model, plus the construction of information technology directly applied to the construction of the entire life cycle.Including prophase construction design, construction, operation, management and maintenance.BIM technology is gaining widespread attention and application of the country. This paper mainly study the application of BIM technology in building energy consumption simulation and comparison with the traditional technology of building energy consumption simulation. In the construction of concept design phase, the building information model was established based on Revit will build good BIM information model using Ecotect Analysis software for simulation Analysis of energy consumption. In Beijing office building energy consumption simulation analysis, the BIM technology and traditional technology in building energy consumption simulation analysis process of comparative analysis, embodies the advantages and disadvantages of BIM technology.Through the comparative analysis with traditional technology, let the BIM technology can be architects’ understanding and recognition.Promote BIM technology in the aspect of energy consumption simulation application, design a more energy-efficient buildings.
