Research On Oil Tank Body Made Of Foam Aluminum Sandwich Structure

With the increasing of car ownership,automobile manufacture continuously develops towards energy saving,safety and environmental protection.Because foam aluminum has the advantages of low density,high specific strength,good energy absorption,damping,heat insulation and sound absorption,the sandwich structure with foam aluminum has great superiority in improving the structure of light weight,vibration resistance,impact energy absorption and thermal insulation.The tank body plays an important role in the oil tank.To achieve its lightweight,high dynamic and thermal insulation characteristics has an important role in improving the vehicle energy saving,environmental protection and safety,so the research on the design of the oil tank body made of foam aluminum sandwich structure has important theoretical and practical significance.The main contents of this paper are as follows:The design prototype of foam aluminum sandwich structure oil tank body is selected by analyzing design requirement,main types,structural characteristics and application occasions of the tank body.The oil tank body made of foam aluminum sandwich structure is designed by ensuring lightweight and rigidity and strength requirements basing on the main performance requirements of the prototype oil tank body and the characteristics of foam aluminum.The stress and strain contour are obtained by analyzing the static performance of the two kinds of oil tank bodies.The comparative analysis results show that the feasibility and superiority of static requirement of the tank body made of foam aluminum sandwich structure.The feasibility and superiority of the improvement of vibration reduction of the oil tank body made of foam aluminum sandwich structure are proved by the comparative finite element simulation analysis of their dynamic(modal)performance.The effective improvement of thermal insulation and safety of the oil tank body made of foam aluminum sandwich structure is proved by analyzing the two kinds of oil tank bodies’ thermal insulation and thermal stress.The above research shows that the oil tank body made of foam aluminum sandwich structure has great superiority in improving the tank,s safety,environmental protection and energy saving.
