Study On Elder Monitoring System Based Distributed Pressure Collecting Technology

As the elderly population of china growing,China is stepping into an aging society and the problems on caring for elder have been giving rise to the broadly and highly concering in our society.Family supporting the aged is the main form in China today,and more and more people choose to nursing institutions for their later years.In nursing institutions,it's the mian form that concentrative monitor for aged,which has provided a great helps for the solution of problems on elder monitoring.But the elder monitoring of nursing institutions still exists some problems that lead to the elder can not be effectively monitor.Based on the requirement analysis of nursing institutions,a set of elder monitoring system based distributed pressure collecting technology is designed in this paper.This system collects the pressure information of elder activities by using pressure sensor arrays and photo electic sensor.After the processing of singlechip module,the situation of elders will be confirmed,then transmit the data of elders situation to the community-monitoring-center by RS-485 bus,the community nurses check the signals.When the elder in abnormality state,inform the nurses by short message notice.While the software platform of the system can make the daily data of elder for storage,query and sharing,it is provide a information exchange platform for the design of elderly care program.The monitoring terminal of monitoring system composed of film pressure sensor,photo electic sensor and MSP430F449 microcontroller modules and other components,using the RS-232 and RS-485 serial communication technology for data transmission to achieve real-time acquisition of the elderly status data.VB6.0 as a development platform for the host computer.The host computer can realize the function of data reception processing,elder status display,abnormal state alarm and so on.Using SQL server 2008R2 establish a database to record basic information about the elder,caregiver information,the elder status information and other data.Using GSM communication module to send text messages to inform the caregiver to achieve SMS alarm function.The design ideas and design methods of monitoring hardware and software systems for the elder monitoring system is designed in this paper in detail,and finally the system have been tested.The tested results show that the system can complete the tasks of elder monitoring in accordance with the design requirements.The system provides a new and effective solution for the problems of elder monitoring.
