In the current era of rapid economic development,the competition among the related manufacturing industries is becoming more and more fierce,and the semitrailer manufacturing industry is one of them.With the continuous increase of semi-trailer manufacturers and the continuous innovation of manufacturing technology.Only by experience design in the past and satisfy the intensity,rigidity of the frame has not been able to have a competitive edge,this lightweight frame is very important,not only can improve the market competitiveness of the product,but also save the cost,also in line with the theme of today’s construction of a conservation minded society.First of all,this paper describes the source and significance of the research,and consults the literature on lightweight home and abroad,and summarizes the research status at home and abroad.Then,a three-dimensional geometric model of the semi-trailer frame was established by using the three-dimensional modeling software SolidWorks,and the frame model is simplified,then the Hypermesh module frame 3D geometric model using finite element analysis software HyperWorks,and the model was selected in the face,the definition of material parameters and grid division of the operation.Finally,the finite element model of the frame has been established.In addition,the static and modal analysis are carried out for the established finite element model of the frame.Combined with the possible situation of semi-trailer in the actual transportation process,the maximum stress and strain of the frame under four working conditions are obtained through the simulation of different constraints and loads on the frame.Through modal analysis and calculation of the frame under free state(unrestrained),the natural frequency and vibration mode of the frame are obtained,which is verified by comparing with the external excitation frequency,and the rationality of the dynamic performance of the frame is verified.Finally,the sensitivity analysis and size optimization design of the frame are carried out by using the HyperWorks software optimization design module Optistruct.Taking the dimension of each member of the frame as design variables,the sensitivity of the natural frequency and the static stress to the design variables is analyzed and calculated,and the corresponding sensitivity value is obtained.According to the analysis results,the sensitivity,the selected by some members of the thickness as design variables,and to the quality as the objective function and the maximum stress and strain constraints in the Optistruct of the frame model for size optimization analysis,then establish structure optimization model of materials,sizes and materials combined with optimization analysis.After the final optimization,the quality of the frame is about 15.4% less than that of the original.
