Application Of Buddhist Plant Patterns Decoration In Dining Space

At present,people's requirements for catering environment are steadily improving along with the progress and development of society.The spiritual function of food and beverage space has risen to become a major demand,and it is a place for meeting friends,enjoying and leisure.Diversified cultures continue to innovate in the era of development.Individualized hotel catering space is increasingly welcomed by the general public,and the style-like dining space has been gradually abandoned.This article is a design for the restaurant space in the hotel,because the hotel is located in Jiuhuashan Scenic Area,providing endless space for Buddhists to eat,meet and relax.For such regional characteristics,local cultural resources are selected and Buddhist cultural elements unique to the scenic spot are extracted and used in the restaurant.Since the development of Buddhism,its influence has not only been its own,but also widely influenced the form of cultural expression.Buddhism has formed an important cultural phenomenon in the dissemination:the decorative patterns of Buddhist plants.This design uses the plant decorative elements of Buddhism into the restaurant to create a dining environment that is elegant and comfortable,has a cultural taste,and has unique local characteristics.The design starts with the elements of spatial configuration such as space layout,furnishings,decoration,and greenery.In combination with the traditional Buddhist plant decoration patterns,distinctive patterns not only give people a strong sense of visual experience,but also can inherit and carry forward Buddhism,cultural connotation.This article gives a general introduction to the patterns of Buddhist plants and explores their cultural connotations.It provides new research content for the design of Buddhist cultural public spaces and also provides methods for the study of other artistic fields or other regional cultures.The practice part of this article gives a general introduction to the popular design style of public space,combing out the necessary design points in the restaurant space,and determining the style of the entire space.The design of catering space in a specific place should achieve effective use of existing cultural resources.How to make use of the advantages of cultural resources is the key to design.In the research process of this article,we reviewed some related literature books and used a combination of theoretical and practical research methods.Before the innovation of Buddhist plant decorative patterns,first of all,through the analysis of the origins,historical background,cultural implications,modeling characteristics,and expression modes of the patterns of plants,the common points and differences of the patterns are summed up,and then the refining and simplification are used.Methods such as refactoring are used in the design practice of the subject to explore the best representation of patterns.Finally,the results of refinement are used in the design to complete the practice of the project.
