Natural gas is a high quality,efficienct and environmental protection energy with colorless,odorless,stable combustion,high calorific value and clean.At present,Chinese economy is in a period of rapid development.As one of the major urban infrastructure,urban gas has higher requirements for its development under the current situation.With the rapid development of urbanization in China,gas as an important resource for urban development,has been widely attentioned and has affected people's production and life.This article through studying on urban gas pipeline network optimization,peak shaving and gas storage of the theory,apply the theory to the planning area where locates in the north of the Shanghai-Nanjing railway,south of the Suzhou-Kunshan expressway and the North road,west of the Shunfan road,the East road and Changjiang road in kunshan city.In order to save cost for the gas network investment of gas company,this article considering the length of buried section and cross section of planning road section in the objective function,introducting of penalty function,regarding the flow,the velocity,the pressure and the diameter as the constraint conditions,the urban medium pressure gas pipe network optimization model was set up and Matlab software was use to optimize urban medium pressure gas pipeline diameter by genetic algorithm.For studying on the peak shaving program,firstly,the annual gas consumption and the total gas consumption of urban gas system of all kinds of users were determined according to the user type,the quantity,the gas consumption index and so on.The present unevenness coefficient and the gas consumption of all kinds of users as the basis are used to predict the medium and long term unevenness coefficient.The hourly peak gas consumption of all kinds of users and urban gas system was obtained through annual gas consumption and unevenness coefficient.Secondly,according to the monthly gas consumption,daily gas consumption and hourly gas consumption,the gas storage coefficient was determined,and the demand for peak Shaving and gas storage in the medium and long term is obtained.Finally,through the analysis of supply and demand balance,a plan for peak Shaving and gas storage program is studied and formulated.
