Study On The Urban Design Strategy Of The Culture-oriented Waterfront

The urban waterfront is the most important open space in the city and affects the overall image and style of the city.It is of great significance to the development of the city.However,the urban waterfront is also the most ecologically sensitive area in the city,and it is vulnerable to artificial influence and destruction.Therefore,how to solve the contradiction between the maximum development of the waterfront and ecological protection has always been an difficulty in the study of urban waterfront.Urban waterfront has its own history of twists and turns.It experienced the destiny of being contaminated and abandoned during the industrialization period.Until the 1970 s,all countries have realized the potential value of waterfront,and the waterfront area was re-emphasized and focused.The development and construction of China's waterfront area was later than that of the western developed countries.The theoretical research results were also relatively lacking.Coupled with the backwardness of economic and technological conditions at that time,people paid more attention to the creation of material conditions and neglected factors such as culture and environment for urban development.In this context,various problems have emerged in the urban waterfront of our country.In the premise of affirming the value of the waterfront,this article mainly focuses on the research related issues of waterfront development and construction against the background of China's unconvinced culture in the past decades.First of all,through combing and summarizing issues such as the destruction of the ecological environment,the lack of sense of place and the lack of overall features,the roots of the problem are sought from the design and non-design aspects.And then it trys to use the theoretical methods and strategies of urban design to solve problems.The main idea of these issues is to look for a combination of culture and urban design from the perspective of cultural orientation and explore a set of more systematic and targeted urban design strategies to supplement the inadequacies of the traditional urban design theory system.At the same time,it also provides experience for urban design of the waterfront in the future.In the end,the urban design project of the Hunjiang Waterfront in Tonghua City was used as an actual case to study and the theoretical strategy was applied to the actual project.This paper mainly uses the research ideas of “defining research topics—basic theoretical research—relevant problem analysis—strategy method research—real case verification”.The overall content is divided into the following parts:The first chapter is the introduction part,which mainly includes the introduction of the research background,content and method,and make the purpose and significance of the research clear.At the same time,it reviews the related literature and finally determines the overall research framework of the thesis.The second chapter is the basic theory and practice case study part,which mainly includes the theoretical research related to urban design,cultural orientation,etc.,as well as domestic and foreign typical cultural-oriented waterfront urban design case studies.The third chapter is divided into two parts,some of which study the cultural connotation of the urban waterfront,clarify the cultural characteristics of the waterfront,and summarize the cultural representation of the waterfront.The other part summarizes the issue of the waterfront in China and the root of the problem.And pave the way for the fourth chapter research strategy.The fourth chapter is the core chapter of the article.Based on the analysis of the second,third,and fourth chapters,the cultural-oriented waterfront urban design strategy proposed from the macro,meso,and micro levels will comprehensively and systematically solve the problems existing in the waterfront.The fifth chapter studies the actual project of "Tonghua City Hunjiang Waterfront Urban Design" and applies the design strategy summarized in Chapter 4 to verify the feasibility and universality of this strategy.The last chapter is the final part of the thesis,which summarizes the main content and value of the paper,and the related deficiencies.
