Study On Vernacular Landscape Characteristics In Miyun District Of Beijing

Since the reform and opening up four decades ago,the Chinese rural culture has been eroded gradually as the increasing urbanization,and the important carrier of our rural culture——rural landscape has been impacted unprecedentedly.In the recent urban and rural construction,many rural landscapes are disappearing,due to the lack of deep recognition about original rural landscape and the backward design philosophy.As such,the difference in the landscapes between rural and urban areas is narrowed,more and more “united”.On this occasion,taking the Miyun District as an example,the paper make a brief analysis and discussion about the characteristics of landscape in Miyun District combined with local literature about nature,history and humanity,to lay a foundation for the further study on the local landscape and relevant protection strategy.The paper involves three parts: the first part is the research background,intention,significance,definition of the relevant concept,research scope,and subject.The second part is an overview about the forming environment of the landscape in Miyun District and village situation introduction.The last part is the research on the characteristics of the landscape in Miyun District,whichcanbe divided into two parts of the rural living landscape characteristic of settlement and rural production landscape.The major research content of each chapter is as follows.The first chapter introduces the research background,identifies the research scope,illustrates the major concept,explains the research methods and lists the research frame.The second chapter analyzes and researches the forming environment of rural landscape in Miyun District from the point of natural element and humanity element.The third chapter selected 18 rural settlements surveyed,combed the basic situation and summed up the personality and commonness of the rural landscape in Miyun District,in order to pave the way for the following.The fourth chapter analyzes the characteristics of the rural settlement landscape from the holistic level of location,plan form,tier of landscape,the specific level of lane landscape,architecture landscape and point landscape,and the settlement culture in a multiply of tier and dimension.The last chapter analyzes and concludes the features of rural agricultural landscape of field and forest landscape from the point of type and component element.
