Due to the continuous expansion of urban construction land and the growing shortage of green space,it is imperative to use all the technologies and conditions to penetrate the green in order to improve the ecological environment and improve the quality of living.As an important part of the green land landscape,the roof garden is an important way to develop urban greening.The roof garden is an entry point to alleviate tension and tension in greening land,increase green coverage and enrich urban green space.Although China's roof garden has been used since the1980 s,it has been slow to develop due to restrictions on technology,funding,and ideas.In recent years,although it has begun to take shape in construction,there are still some omissions and drawbacks due to the limitations of experience and technology,especially in cities with low economic levels and relatively cold climate.Harbin is a cold city in China,because of its special geographical location and severe natural conditions,the choice of roof plants is limited.At the same time,long and cold winters increase the consumption of energy and material in roof gardens.In addition,most of the research on the roof gardens in cold cities is based on landscaping and does not take into account the persistence of the landscape.Therefore,the paper introduces the concept of sustainability into the landscape design of the roof garden in Harbin.Based on the study of domestic and foreign roof gardens,landscape architecture,sustainable technology and other related literature,the paper investigates the status quo of plant landscape,topographic relief,water features,ski resorts,sculptures,and pavements of five typical roof gardens in Harbin,and find out what's problem with the roof garden.Combining classic practice cases at home and abroad,we will study the roof garden landscape design with the objectives of eco-technology sustainability,economic conservation and sustainability,and sustainable landscape culture from the perspective of professional landscape architecture.And explore how we can make roof garden landscape sustainable with less investment and less maintenance.The paper selects a roof garden with common problems,namely Hongqi Babylon roof garden in Hongqi district of Harbin.The survey results are as follows:(1)The landscape is not sustainable,and the roofs under investigation are generally lacking in the winter.The limitation of the load-bearing structure of the underground building leads to the unbalanced design of the landscape elements;the utilization of the rainwater resources is low,and the Harbin spring and summer seasons are low.With more rainy seasons,the municipal drainagenetwork is under greater pressure,and no effective management measures have been taken to make up for the lack of water shortages;snow resources have low utilization rates,lack regional cultural characteristics,and do not make full use of snow as an important resource in Harbin..(2)Based on the problems investigated by the five roof gardens,the paper is based on the typical cases of the Chicago City Hall Roof Garden,the Burnley Public Roof Garden,the Washington State College conference building,and the China Pavilion Shanghai World Expo roof garden.Extracts the key points of solar photo voltaic technology,wind energy,and rainwater management technology.(3)By summarizing and summarizing,on the premise of satisfying the roof planting conditions on the roof plant selection,based on the native tree species,try to select the shrubs,flowers and ground cover plants that are cold-tolerant,drought-tolerant,and hi-light,and create a cold area.Features of plant landscape,to achieve the four seasons.In response to the problems and insufficiencies of the roof garden,the design will divide the Harbin Hongqi Babylon roof garden into five functional divisions: entrance plaza area,children's activity area,elderly recreation area,ice and snow plaza area,and rainwater management area.Each functional area is based on its own landscape features set different landscapes,sustainable ideas throughout.(4)In the retrofit design,the photo voltaic energy technology is combined with the roof sprinkler irrigation and infiltration irrigation technology,and a computer-controlled solar automatic irrigation system is designed for the roof garden.The device can realize the automation of the valve of the irrigation system under the condition that the photo voltaic battery is stored without power control,and can sense the opening and closing of the automatic control valve for the dryness and humidity of the soil and the plant surface temperature,thereby realizing the sustainable management of the roof garden.In the landscape reconstruction,we designed a micro-topography that can gather rainwater to form a recessed green space.In the vegetation,we set up a canal that makes use of natural terrain to allow rainwater to reach the storage tank.This creates a landscape while reducing pollution and improving natural resources.The utilization rate has realized the sustainability of ecological technology.The paper reconstructs the roof garden,analyzes and studies the different constituent elements of roof gardens,combines the traditional roof garden landscape with sustainable concepts.To open up a new idea for the subsequent roof garden renovation and practices by optimizing the design.
