At present,the number of cars in China is increasing year by year,and more and more vehicles will inevitably lead to an increase in traffic accidents.Automotive airbags are an important part of passive safety that can protect occupants to a lesser extent in the event of a crash.How to develop an airbag with a good protective role has become the main research content of all airbag development companies.In the development process of airbags,airbags need to be repeatedly optimized and verified.Crash tests are a major means.Although the development of simulation technology can reduce the number of tests,but because the indeterminacy in simulation results,low accuracy and other shortcomings,as well as the error caused by the level of modeling results,simulation can not replace the test,crash test is still not missing.In this paper,by reading a large amount of literature and learning and mastering related simulation software at the same time,taking the frontal crash driver airbag as an example,the optimization method of the airbag is studied during the development of the airbag.By using the method of computer analysis aid test,through simulation analysis optimize parameters of restraint system,and the sled is built according to the optimization result parameters,through the analysis of the data obtained from the sled test,the structural parameters of the airbag are optimized and verified through the actual vehicle test.First of all,vehicle data extraction experiment was carried out to obtain the modeling data.The frontal crash driver restraint system model including the driver's airbag,bodywork and dummy model is established by using Primer,MADYMO,CATIA and Hypermesh software.The model was simulated and the simulation results were compared with the test results to verify the validity of the model.Secondly,through the method of parameter sensitivity analysis,the optimization parameters that affect the restraint system are determined,and the orthogonal test design is carried out on the determined parameters.The range analysis of the comprehensive damage index is carried out to obtain the optimal combination parameters This parameter is used as a guide to build the sled carry out the sled optimization test.Finally,The car front crash sled test is studied,the current development status of sled test equipment is expounded,the sled test principle is analysed and the test method is studied.After that,to reduce the degree of damage to the head and chest of the dummy,the structural parameters of the driver's airbag were improved by using the sled test.The actual vehicle crash test was conducted to verify the effectiveness of the optimization results by comparing actual vehicle and sled test data and videos.
