With the continuous development of society,more and more high-rise buildings are built in many cities.To meet the safety,applicability and durability of high-rise buildings,a reasonable anti side force members should be chosen,shear wall is one of them.The reinforced concrete shear wall is one of the most widely used shear wall structures due to its advantages of low lateral deformation and good stability.It has many disadvantages,such as large structure,low ductility and poor energy dissipation.In this case,different types of shear wall has emerged.The steel plate shear wall and steel plate-concrete shear wall is one of the two.In coal mining,a large number of coal gangue will be produced when experienced coal washing,which is a kind of typical industrial waste.The natural place state of coal gangue not only pollute the environment also occupy a lot of land.After the spontaneous combustion.The property of coal gangue is similar to the gravel.So it can be used to do brick or concrete.Coal gangue is relatively light,it can be used to reduce the weight of concrete.The reasonable use of coal gangue can control environmental pollution and bring good economic benefits.To sum up,the steel plate encased of coal gangue concrete shear wall,a new light member of the lateral force resisted,which can be applied in high-rise structure is presented.In this paper,this new type of component not only has the advantages of reinforced concrete shear wall,but also has the advantages of steel structure,and the light weight.There will be a very big development of application space.In this paper,six steel plate encased of coal gangue concrete shear wallswere tested aimed at having a better understanding of the failure mode of the specimen.Based on different parameters,the bearing capacity,load displacement curves,load-strain curves,hysteretic curves,skeleton curves,ductility,energy dissipation,stiffness degradation,strength degradation and so on were investigated.In addition,11 finite element models of the steel plate encased of coal gangue concrete shear wall are established,and the numerical simulation analysis is carried out.On the basis of the validation of numericalsimulation results,the influence of concrete strength,steel plate thickness,axial compression ratio and high aspect ratio on the seismic performance of steel reinforced concrete shear wall are studied.As the researchshows that,the hysteresis curve of coal gangue concrete shear walls with internal steel is relatively full and pinch phenomenon is not obvious.The curve rises steeply,and declines slowly after peaking point.The ultimate displacement is relatively large.The ductility coefficient of six specimens are all above 3,proving that the ductility is good.The bearing capacity of members increase with increasing of axial compression ratio,sheet thickness,steel strength,concrete strength,and decrease with increasing of high aspect ratio,and the axial compression ratio,high aspect ratio and concrete strength prove to have great influence onbearing capacity.When the high aspect ratio of the specimen is 1.5,the failure mode appears to be flexural shear failure.While the high aspect ratio is 2,test results are flexural failure.The coal gangue concrete shear wall with internalsteelplate not only has large capacity,stiffness,energy dissipation capacity,but also features advantage of good deformation capacity and ductility,so it can be widely used in practical engineering.
