The nuclear fuel rod assembly is the core component of the nuclear reactor,and its production quality directly affects the safety,reliability and economy of the nuclear power plant.The production of traditional nuclear fuel rod components is still semi-automated.Workers are exposed to radioactive environment for a long time,causing damage to the body,at the same time,the labor intensity is too large and the production efficiency is low.In this paper,the visual recognition and positioning system of end plate welding is developed by using high precision,high efficiency,non contact and high objectivity of machine vision,which can realize the type identification and position adjustment task of nuclear fuel rods,reduce labor intensity and physical damage,and improve the production efficiency and automation level of the enterprise.The main research contents and innovation points in this paper are as follows:(1)Design of an end face imaging system for Nuclear fuel rods.The imaging system is based on the geometric characteristics of the distance from the end of the fuel rod to the isolation block to 250 mm.The telecentric lens with a working distance of 310 mm is used for the end face imaging to overcome the imaging problem that the imaging distance is large and the ordinary lens is near the small.In order to ensure the imaging quality and facilitate the detection of equipment loading and unloading process and equipment automation process,this paper adopts a separate reflective panel.(2)The design of the control part of the mechanical and electrical motion.In order to reduce the complexity of design and facilitate debugging and maintenance,the modular design of mechanical mechanism is divided into four parts:feeding module,optical imaging module,fuel rod posture adjustment module and equipment overall framework,and are designed separately.The electrical control part uses the Rockwell RSLogix5000 series PLC to control the cylinder and the servo motor,and combines the demand side's beat requirements and the motion logic design PLC to control the ladder diagram.(3)Development of upper computer for Nuclear fuel rod visual recognition and location system.In order to realize the rapid development of the upper computer's human-machine interface,Lab VIEW is selected as the upper computer development software.Using a large number of front panel controls and powerful backstage processing functions with Lab VIEW,the functions of image processing,interface design,alarm monitoring,data storage and so on are realized.The Lab VIEW OPC Server module is used to establish communication with PLC to ensure the efficient and coordinated operation of the host computer and the slave computer.
