Wind energy can provide endless energy for people and promote social and economic development.it has high security,and can stabilize the price fluctuation of other energy.Wind power has the advantages of low risk,low cost and green environmental-friendly.With the improvement of the automation of wind turbines,people are more likely to pursue high wind energy utilization coefficient and output power curve.The operating environment of wind turbine is bad,and its characteristics is always change in this situation.With strong nonlinear strength,the system is prone to the internal and external disturbance.The control effect of conventional PID controller on constant power is not very satisfactory.Independent variable pitch technology is a new type of variable pitch technologybased on variable pitch technology,the independent variable pitch technology adjust the different blade alone,it can stable the power output and reduce the wind turbulence effects,improve the operation stability and its service life.This paper analyzed the model of wind turbines,improved genetic algorithm,as well as the independent variable pitch control system,in order to control the wind turbines in power fluctuations and leaves above the rated wind speed by unbalanced load,this paper mainly studied the wind turbines variable speed variable pitch control technology.First of all,this paper analyzed the wind turbine aerodynamic model.On this basis,this paper introduces the characteristic parameters of wind turbines,through the characteristic parameters and has drawn out the variable pitch wind turbine operation principle,and on the basis of the principle of variable pitch wind turbine operation process was introduced in detail.Then,the mathematical model was set up for each part of the wind power unit,and the simulation study of 5MW wind turbines was carried out in Matlab/Simulink.The result of the traditional PID controller is not very satisfactory,which lays a foundation for the subsequent optimization.Then,the genetic algorithm has carried on the detailed discussion and research,and using an improved genetic algorithm with PID controller and phase,in order to use wind turbines in the independent variable pitch control system,in the case of wind speed step are simulated,and the superiority of the improved genetic algorithm PIDcontrol was verified.Finally,under The FAST combined Matlab/Simulink,this paper got the wave of the speed,power,hub in-plane bending moment and bending of blade root surface,and through comparing with the results of traditional PID controller,got the result of that the genetic algorithm PID can better inhibition of unbalanced load of wind turbines,the wind generator can reduce the bending moment caused by the machine the vibration of transmission mechanism,make the output power is more stable.
