There are many reasons for the inclination of building(construction).The new building is inclined due to the design,construction or engineering survey.The reasons include the uneven settlement of the foundation due to the change of surrounding environment during the use of the building.Due to the long history of the building,the bearing capacity of the foundation change,there will also be tilt phenomena,such as Leaning Tower of Pisa,the Tiger Hill Pagoda and the Kui-Guang tower in Suzhou,China.Whatever the causes of the construction of the building tilt,if we do nothing to the tilt,it will affect the normal use of the building,structural safety and even lead to collapsing.The forced settlement method of building(construction)rectification is widely used in engineering,and there are many kinds of forced settlement methods and its stress mechanism is complex.At present,method of digging soil and rectifying inclination is the most widely used in the forced settlement method for building(construction)rectification,the stress mechanism of which is also extremely complex.Since the theoretical research of method of digging soil and rectifying inclination is obviously insufficient,this paper did an experimental study on it.In the test process of digging soil and rectifying inclination,the main results of the paper about the plastic zone,the shape change of the hole,the tilt of the superstructure and the failure mode are as follows:(1)The inclination of the upper structure remained linear,which indicates a steady dip.Design three different space(400mm,600 mm,800mm),and record the variation of the tilt of the upper structure under the three spaces.The regularity of linear change emerges from the beginning of a building's tilt and in a continuous period of time(about 24 hours).And with the hole space shrinking,the tilt rate increases and the stability time decreases.(2)The final three kinds of rendering shape of digging hole are proposed,vertical irregular oval,horizontal irregular oval and irregular round.The study also found that the location of the digging hole and the space of the digging hole have influence on the damage form of the hole.The damage form of the hole at the edge is basically vertical irregular ellipse,the middle part is irregular circular,and when the space is large,the damage form is horizontal irregular ellipse.(3)According to the test data and the destructive form of the hole,the plastic zone of the pore-circumference soil is obtained.The plastic zone of the pore-circumference soil is developed obviously in the area of both sides of the excavation hole and in the upper part of the hole,and the plastic zone does not appear in the upper and bottom areas of the pore,which is not in conformity with the circular plastic zone assumed in the engineering.
