Along with the coming of era about new media,the usage of new media throughout all range of our life including the design of children space.The popularization and development for new media technologies have significantly changed children's educational and communicating way,influenced their environments of activities and education,as well as their growing development.Under the environment of new media,rapidly developed information and technology impact the design of children's space in our country's traditional circumstance,which needs designers to change current situation by taking advantages of effective design strategies,discuss the influences of new media for spatial design for children's activity and how children will be in space,and explore the new form of spatial design for children's activity based on the condition of new media.This essay strongly demonstrates the importance of spatial environment based on the “Spatial Educator” educational theory,and emphasizes that education is in the interaction between space and kids.So,the essay discusses the interaction between children and space by improving spatial design,explains how children realize and study space by the view of design,and emphasizes the importance of spatial environmental design under the situation of new media,finally improves the primary status of children in spatial design.From the research of children's spatial needs under new media environment,combining technology of new media with special art appropriately can deal with the obstacles from children's low thinking ability,low ability of recognition and low ability of operation.This solution demonstrates that spatial design can handle needs of kids' activity,fit stages of children's physical and psychological growth as well as characteristics of children's study activities,which not only satisfies functions but also is enjoyable,so that let children understand learning by interacting with space.Throughout the study and research of children's spatial design in nursery school,the essay deeply analyzes children's psychological behaviors and habits in space,points out problems occur in traditional children's activity space,and studies worldwide good cases based on the research of children's needs to additionally analyze why activities in outdoor space is more meaningful than space itself,in order to summarize the special design requirements for children's activity under the situation of new media,then builds effective special design strategies for children's activity to let kids grow up comprehensively and healthily.This research program starts from the site visiting of Lingang District Nursery School in Weihai under the condition of special design of children's activity in new media circumstance,and reference related research documents as well as analysis of children's needs for activity space in nursery school.In addition,the program has a special design of children's activity for Lingang District Nursery School in Weihai according to children's hobbies and growing rules,in order to explore the design strategies of using new media's technology in space to deal with children's practical needs,and provide solutions and design practice for special design of children's activity in nursery school under new media environment.Finally,the design comes up with the concept of “Interaction of Children's Fantasy” cooperating with practice,which spaces of different functions compare with different scales and merge each structure,then constructs shared space for children's activity.The practice of Lingang District Nursery School in Weihai furtherly approves the practical possibility of special design combining with new media in the range of children's activity space in nursery school,providing innovative exploration in the aspect of special design of children's activity under the circumstance of new media.
