The Priliminary Study On Gardening Of The Image And The Formal Expression Of Tuisiyuan Garden

Suzhou Tongli Tuisiyuan garden has its own characteristics,small and exquisite,and is a rare model of gardening art.Lan Sheng,the host of the Tuisiyuan garden,was returned to his hometown to build the garden,and then gained his post again.Ren showed his complex feelings of gain and loss,advance and retreat,and yearning for ideals into the garden.So that the ups and downs of life are skillfully and vividly presented in the retreat garden,resulting in the creation of garden works containing such complex feelings.Through the analysis of the historical materials and the reading of the relevant documents,this paper has a deep understanding of the historical context of the Tuisiyuan garden,the general situation of its owner's career,and the author's many visits to the field.Through taking photos,video recording,text recording,surveying and mapping and so on,we can feel the space sequence,architectural landscape scale and the overall artistic conception atmosphere of the retreat garden,and combine with the gardening techniques and examples of Jiangnan private garden.From the space layouts of the garden,the characteristics of characters and other elements to sum up the artistic characteristics of the garden,so as to understand the garden more clearly and completely.The main body of the thesis is divided into four parts,respectively,from the historical evolution of the Tuisiyuan garden,the basic relationship of space construction,the form expression of the intention of "retreat past" and " retreat as advance",by exploring the factors such as the spatial layout of the gardener's idea in the garden,the relationship between architecture and water,the naming of the building,the landscape planting and other elements,the Tuisiyuan garden is analyzed in a relatively complete and concrete manner and the characteristics of its landscape imagery are summarized.The spatial form language of “retreat” and “advancement” in the garden echoes each other and fully reflects the turmoil that the owner wants to leave the society,meditation in the homeland,and the desire to fame and fortune in his mind.Through the investigation,we found out the unique forms of expression embodied in it,the consistency and sense of integrity that were exhibited in the garden,and the help and inspiration for modern landscape design.
