Medical ultrasound imaging technology has been widely used in clinical diagnosis,due to its advantages of being harmless to the human body,high safety,real-time imaging,and low cost.However,ultrasound imaging still has many technical problems to be solved compared to Computed Tomography,Magnetic Resonance Imaging,and X-ray imaging technologies,such as low image resolution,the image being susceptible to noise and so on.With the increasing extensive application of ultrasound imaging diagnosis in clinical practice,the requirements for the quality of ultrasound imaging are also increasing.In ultrasound imaging,the adaptive imaging algorithm is one of the most effective techniques to improve the imaging quality.Synthetic aperture imaging is the most traditional imaging technique in ultrasound imaging,which has the ability of enhancing the imaging quality obviously.Currently,the above two mentioned aspects are hot spots in the field of ultrasound imaging.Based on synthetic aperture imaging,in this paper we propose a Signal-subspace Eigenvalues Adaptive Beamforming(SEAB)algorithm and Signal Eigenvalue Factor(SEF)weighting factor that can significantly improve the performance of ultrasound imaging.The main researches of this paper are as follows:1?With the research of the ultrasound imaging system architecture and synthetic aperture imaging technology,the principle of synthetic aperture ultrasound imaging is introduced in detail.In addition,the reason why ultrasound algorithms can improve the imaging quality are also explained to better understand the new imaging algorithms proposed in this study.2?Based on the research of the traditional DAS,MV and EIBMV adaptive beamforming algorithms,a SEAB imaging algorithm is proposed.By testing on the simulation and experimental data,it shows that the algorithm is superior to the traditional algorithm.3?The SEF adaptive weighting factor is proposed.Simulation and experimental data are also used to evaluate the performance of SEF.Compared to DAS and CF,SEF shows better property of imaging quality improvement.This paper proposes two new adaptive imaging algorithm.The simulation and experimental imaging results show that the methods can effectively improve the resolution,Contrast Ratio(CR)and Contrast-to-noise Ratio(CNR),thus enhance theimaging quality of synthetic aperture.
