The article is based on the current situation of application for heavy haul railway turnouts.On the one hand,by comparing the application performance of the new and old curve switch rails,it shows that new curve switch rail can significantly prolong service life.On the other hand,the existing maintenance technology and management model for heavy haul railway are analyzed and thought,accordingly,optimization suggestions and measures are put forward.The article begins with the research status of heavy haul railway turnouts at home and abroad,to master optimization technology of heavy haul railway turnouts in foreign countries and research results of heavy haul railway turnouts at home.Then the common types of diseases are classified,the reasons and the corresponding remediation measures are presented.Secondly,the design principles,key technology and technical indexes that are commonly used to develop new heavy haul railway turnouts are teased out.At the same time,on-site investigation,wear measurement,data analysis,and data collection methods are used.Regular observations of the curve switch rail of No.36 at Datong South Station were conducted with the aid of the wheel-rail profile measuring instrument called miniprof.Through data analysis,the wear comparison bewteen the new and old curve switch rails visually and intuitively shows that the new curve switch rail can significantly prolong service life.Finally,it points out the current problems in the maintenance technology and management mode for heavy haul railway,and puts forward corresponding reasonable suggestions and measures,which will serve as a reference for the people who engaged in the repair and maintenance of heavy haul railway turnout.
