In the recent years,with the increasingly improvement of the technology of solar energy and the high-power light emitting diode(LED),the solar LED street lamps have been widely used.As a core component of solar streetlights,the controller deserves attention.Currently existing solar LED street light controllers have some problems,for example: the battery adopts constant current,constant voltage or two-stage charging mode;the battery has a single energy-saving control strategy for discharging the LED light,and most of them fail to adjust the brightness in real-time.Besides,the controller often uses the maximum power point tracking algorithm for solar cells such as conductivity increment method and interference observation method.In view of the issues that are described above,the main tasks of this paper include:1.Based on the study of the working principle of solar LED street light controllers both at home and abroad,the paper tested the performance of partial controllers on the market,and various factors such as performance and price are comprehensively considered.Then,a multi-path PWM controlled multifunctional three-stage charging and variable pulse control solar street light controller program is proposed.2.According to the overall design,the hardware circuit of the controller is designed,including: charge and discharge circuit,voltage and current signal acquisition circuit,drive circuit,and power supply circuit.Compared with some existing controllers on the market,the cost is reduced and the charging and discharging efficiency is improved.3.The MPPT,constant voltage and variable current three-phase charging methods are deployed in the charging process and the maximum power point tracking is achieved by using the improved conductance increment method to improve the battery charging efficiency;during the discharge process,real-time adjustment of impulse control signal is achieved through improved energy-saving control strategies,which meets the illumination requirement,prolongs the working hours on the continuous rainy days and formulates the relevant control software on the single-chip microcomputer.4.The completed controller has been tested in the lab and shows that it has complete functions,stable performance,high charge and discharge efficiency,which achieves the design goals.
