Modern car bring a lot convenience to people,at the same time,which cause the accident increasing every by year.According to statistics,in the car traffic accident,front collision is about 50%of the total vehicle accident account.Good occupant restraint system can effectively reduce the occupant injuries in frontal vehicle impact.At present,vehicle crash safety has become an important part in the development of automobile design.Computer Aided Engineering(CAE)analysis method occupies more and more status in the design process of automobile crash test,which not only improves the development progress but also reduces the development time and the cost of products.First,this paper illustrates the main content of occupant restraint system and research methods of passive safety,introduces domestic and overseas research in the aspect of occupant restraint in a frontal crash condition,brief discussing the research methods,which includes vehicle impact test sled test and simulated analysis.Emphasis on some important NCAPs,occupant injury criteria and the evaluation index of the occupant restraint system in a front impact.Then,this paper uses LS-Dyna software to create a car’s frontal impact restraint system with finite element method,which includes the car body,seat,airbag,seat belt,and dummy uses Hybrid III50th.In the model,the location of the dummy is carried out,and the setting of the contact is defined.Complete finite element model correction based on the dummy injuries of the real vehicle crash test,ensure the reliability of the simulation model.Based on the occupant restraint system simulation model,optimize the design in software,and use the method of sensitivity to analyze the parameters which are sensitive to occupant injury.Taking dummy’s WIC as the optimization target,GA algorithm is used to optimize the calculation,got the best parameter matching.Compared with the benchmark model,the optimized WIC value decreased significantly,thus improved the protect for the occupant.
