With the high-speed development of national economy, automobile not only become indispensable traffic tools in the daily life and work, but also play a more and more important role in the political, military and other fields. According to investigation statistics,1.2 million people die, and all kinds of traffic accidents cause economic losses of more than 5000 dollar each year all over the world. All kinds of traffic accidents happened 65225 times, causing direct economic of 930 million yuan in 2010. Therefore, improving the passive safety performance of cars has become increasingly important. In this paper, simulated analysis of vehicle frontal impact and occupant restraint system is presented. This main content include:Firstly, in the paper, a detailed full vehicle finite element model for the simulation of frontal impact with a rigid wall and a finite element model of occupant restraint system were established based on HyperMesh software. Through validation of the model, we found that the model meet requirements of effectiveness.Secondly, according to the regulations of C-NCAP, the full vehicle finite element model of frontal impact with a rigid wall was analyzed in various simulation by LS-DYNA and HyperMesh. The analysis results show the model has good body structure safety to protect the occupants. Finally, according to the regulations of CMVD R294 and ECE R95, the occupant restraint system model was analyzed in various simulation by LS-DYNA and LS-PREPOST. The analysis results show that the dummy damage conditions meet the requirements of relevant laws and regulations, and prove that the vehicle has enough passive security to provide better protection for occupants and reduce injuries in frontal crash accident.
