Substation as an important node of the power transmission,and assume the important responsibilities of power grid stable and safe operation,the voltage fluctuation and power factor changes will also have an important impact on the power grid and users.The 220kV substation as the backbone of high-voltage transmission,the voltage quality requirements are higher.How to ensure the power factor of the system and to give the power grid reactive power compensation under the premise of a more rapid and smooth regulation of voltage become a focus of attention of the power sector.The static var generator(SVG)is applied to the 220kV substation,which can solve this problem very well,and will become the development trend of the power in the future.In this paper,based on the requirements of SVG in 220kV Baihua substation project application,the performance of static var generator is analyzed,and the application of SVG in 220kV Baihua substation is simulated.Based on the analysis of reactive power compensation technology and its own characteristics in the power system,I analyze the superiority of SVG compared with other reactive power compensation device.We discusses the SVG control methods,combined with the actual needs of substation and reactive power compensation,SVG control strategy for reactive power compensation of substation.,and seek control method suitable for substation reactive power compensation SVG.In view of the operation environment of the substation,the current direct control method combined with the outer loop power control method is adopted.The outer loop control method is the power factor control method and the voltage regulation control method.The inner loop control method is the d-q axis current control of the current direct control method.By the combination of the inner loop control and outer loop control method,the different working condition demands of SVG in 220kV Baihua transformer substation are adapted.The simulation model of SVG is built in 220kV Baihua substation environment by MATLAB tool.The simulation model of 220kV Baihua substation is built by analyzing the operation mode and the field parameters of 220kV Baihua substation.According to the selected SVG control strategy and the characteristic function of each regulating control module,the simulation model of SVG is built,and the simulation model of SVG in 220kV Baihua substation is established.The SVG simulation and experimental study on the application of 220kV Baihua substation,capacitive,inductive condition and impact load into the simulation results under the environment of waveform analysis,verify the compensation ability of SVG.The theoretical basis is provided for the application of SVG in 220kV Baihua transformer substation project.
