Reactive power compensation is an important part of substation reactive power compensation,and also an important measure for protecting substation's power supply equipment safety.But with the development of power,the application of electrical equipment in substation power supply system is becoming more and more intelligent and complex.Power electronic devices are increaseingly used,the reactive power distribution is getting more complex,harder to reactive power compensation.Static var compensator(STATCOM)can implement reactive power continuous compensation,restrain voltage fluctuations and flicker.Thyristor switched capacitor device(TSC)graded regulation of reactive power compensation can be achieved and widely used in electric power system.Combining both the advantages and disadvantages of reactive power compensation,the equipments presented coordinated control of reactive power compensator to improve power quality of power system reactive power continuously for a low cost large capacity compensation of reactive power compensation in rapid succession.Firstly,we have introduced the principle of dynamic reactive power compensation,based on the improved method of optimal coverage optimization of reactive power compensation capacity of the transformer substation configuration.The method considering the dynamic reactive power compensation device coordination,using Matlab curve fitting hopson into probability distribution curve of reactive power,which they did not cover the area of the artificial search of algorithm to find the optimal solution,example analysis,this method has certain feasibility.Secondly,we have independently analyze the TSC and STATCOM basic working principle,control mode and reactive power detection method,and USES the Matlab/Simulink simulation software of TSC and STATCOM device structures model,the simulation results show that under the high pressure level of TSC also has a good effect of reactive power compensation,the compensation effect is obvious;The STATCOM under both the perceptual load and capacitive loads can achieve satisfactory compensation effect,and maintain the stability of the system voltage.Then,we have combined with their respective control method to design a hybrid reactive power compensation device of TSC + STATCOM,introduce their basic structureand working principle of gear,give the the whole control strategy of the mixed reactive power compensation device and the principle block diagram,put the emphasis on the intelligent control method of the overall control strategy of the reactive power control.By using Matlab/Simulink software to build the TSC+STATCOM main wiring diagram,the overall control performance are simulated,which the simulation results show that TSC+STATCOM can effectively improve system voltage quality and the power factor of system,and achieve the effect of good dynamic reactive power compensation.Finally,through analysising the power supply system wiring diagramof substation,we have given the method of chosing the TSC+STATCOM's main parameters of the device,using Matlab/Simulink to build main circuit wiring diagram,which the simulation waveform shows that the presented hybrid reactive power compensation device has good effect of reactive power compensation and laid a good foundation for further application.
