Research And Design Of Thermoset Body DP Contactor In HVAC Industry

DP contactor is a kind of electrical control equipment to control compressor,fan,cooling pump and such motor load in HVAC industry(Heating,Ventilating,and Air-Conditioning,referred to as HVAC).Compared with ordinary industrial control contactor,DP contactor needs more cruel technical requirements to meet the appliance requirements of HVAC industry.In 2002,Xiamen Hongfa independently innovated,designed and manufactured DP contactor,which was mainly improved and developed based on previous ordinary industrial control contactor.This thesis collects some typical failures of Xiamen Hongfa XMCO thermoplastic body DP contactor during years' application by visiting the field customers' factories in North American,making deeply investigation and communication,forms DP contactor's corresponding technical requirements based on the understanding of HVAC industry's appliance technical requirements and overseas DP contactor standard,and then evaluates and confirms that only by improving the existing XMCO thermoplastic body DP contactor's structure strength and flame retardant property,it can fully meet HVAC industry's appliance requirements.This thesis researches and analyzes XMCO thermoplastic body DP contactor's structure strength by using NX 8.5 software to do 3D modeling and ANSYS Workbench analyzing software,focuses on evaluating some parts with problems and testing contactor samples for verification.And then adopt the same way to make investigation,analysis and test verification on structure strength of the thermoset body contactor with improved structure and using innovative patent scheme,and confirms the improved scheme is effective.As for the evaluation on the flame retardant property,this thesis mainly adopts comparative tests on the failure related body between the existing thermoplastic body and improved thermoset body,through glow-wire test and needle flame test,and the result indicates the flame retardant property of thermoset body has been largely improved.The study of this thesis improves Hongfa existing DP contactor,making Hongfa contactor can not only meet DP contactor's international standard but also make a breakthrough on the structure property by innovation,and make the comprehensive technology economic indicator reaching leading level in international DP contactors,which enhance the visibility of Hongfa in HVAC industry,and will further improve Hongfa DP contactor's competitiveness.The subject of research can provide reference for studying the reliability of similar DP contactor,with practical engineering application significance.
