The oil immersed core series reactor is widely used in the power grid.It is an important equipment to ensure the safe operation of the power grid.It mainly plays the role of compensation and filtering.With the rapid development of the electric power network,the demand for the series reactor of oil immersed core is increasing.Therefore,the design optimization of the reactor has more advantages of cost.Besides,the temperature distribution and the hottest distribution of the oil immersed core reactor are the important factors that affect the service life of the reactor.In this paper,the electromagnetic design method of reactor is given according to the basic electromagnetic theory.On the basis of this,the reactor is designed.The improved genetic algorithm is used to optimize and analyze the oil immersed core series reactor.It is found that the improved genetic algorithm optimization model has good convergence effect and fewer iterations,and the manufacturing cost is saved by 4.0% after optimization.At the same time,the visual interface is written by VBA program to realize the optimization design of the oil immersed core series reactor.According to the design parameters of oil immersed core series reactor,a threedimensional simulation model is built in Solid Works.The finite element method is used to analyze the overall leakage magnetic field distribution and the loss of metal structure.Compared with other positions,the loss of the clip is smaller,and the value of loss is reasonable in the simulation analysis of the later physical field.The simulation analysis model is introduced into the ansys meshing for mesh generation,and the dissecting model is introduced into the fluid field software package and the finite volume method is used to solve the multi physical field.The multi physics field is used to solve the reactor temperature distribution.The temperature distribution and the location of the most hot spot of the reactor are analyzed.The simulation analysis of the axial height of the windings under rated load is 93.5 ?under the rated load,and the most hot spot is about 86% position at the bottom of the windings.The results of different load simulation analysis and theoretical calculation are compared and analyzed,and the deviation is 4.5?.These studies have certain guiding significance for the engineering design and safe operation of the oil immersed core series reactor.
