At present,traffic lights at the intersection of urban streets in our country still adopt the method of timed conversion control,that is,the interval time of conversion is fixed.However,with the increase in the number of motor vehicles,this control method has been unable to meet the traffic needs of intersection.Moreover,during rush-hour,there is usually large traffic flow in one direction,but few vehicles pass in the other direction,traffic police are required to coordinate and command at intersections in this situation,which takes a great deal of human resources.At the same time,congested junctions will also affect the efficiency of emergency vehicles in handling emergencies.Therefore,to find a new and flexible traffic signal control system is urgent.To solve these problems,the traffic signal control system designed in this dissertation gives three kinds of control schemes.The first is to regulate the site through the wireless remote control module;the second is to calculate the traffic flow of the traffic video images at each intersection and the traffic light time-sharing ratio in order to automatically change the traffic light;the third is adopting the remote data communication module for control.At the same time,the system also set up a conversion function between the three modes in the remote control platform,easy to control at any time.Among them,the wireless control module adopts PT2262/2272 as the core control chip,and combines the single chip microcomputer and its peripheral circuits to transmit and receive the DF data.The communication module based on Transmission Control Protocol(TCP)and User Datagram Protocol(UDP),combined with ENC28J60 network communication module,accomplishes the remote communication system between host computer and the single chip microcomputer.Besides,the system designed a control module with STC12C5A60S2 as the core;the main control circuit connects with the signal light simulation control module and the digital display module through the relay drive module to accomplish the simulation ofthe actual traffic.Furthermore,in order to finish the automatic timing of the traffic lights,this dissertation also carried out the algorithm design of vehicle image processing and traffic flow.Firstly,a proper image preprocessing algorithm is designed according to the characteristics of video image;secondly,the vehicle target detection algorithm is designed on the basis of the traffic video of daytime,it adopts mixed Gaussian background modeling method to achieve the background separation of the video image,obtain a clear image of the running vehicle and use the external rectangular box method to achieve traffic statistics;finally,according to the night video images and the morphological characteristics of the headlight,the extraction,matching and tracking algorithm of the headlight which select the headlights as the detection target are designed to achieve traffic statistics.The system test results show that the intelligent traffic signal control system designed in this dissertation,can complete both remote control and wireless control to send control instructions to the main control module in time,thus to fulfill the real-time control of each signal.The system has the advantages of low design cost,high portability,good compatibility,and it can provide a variety of intelligent control means according to different needs.
