| Wood color and texture are important criteria for judging wood quality since they affect the processing effect and aesthetic choice of the consumers. In order to improve the practicability and decorative value of wood, texture effect is catered for but the wood color is not covered by most phenomena, and can be learnt from a variety of artistic means. The concept of color texture makes rich wood texture a more characteristic and unique attribute to be explored. The changes in the structure and quantity of forest resources, the supply of high quality and precious materials are decreasing yet the utilization rate of plantations is increasing which has constrained the demand for wood products. In addition, varieties of texture effects of fast-growing materials present a single color problem. In order to improve sustainable utilization and save resources to provide comprehensive quality materials,a combination color technology and design have to be applied to product designing and home decoration industry. This study provided a new direction, practical and theoretical basis for the research and development of wood dyeing and the main results were as follows:(1)In order to improve the dyeing effects and make full use of the abundant domestic fast-growing wood, sapwood was used as test material. Thus a study of constant temperature immersion, alternate and vacuum injection methods of the dyeing processes on the vertical and horizontal permeability was done. The results showed that :(1)in the constant temperature impregnation method, transverse permeability increased with dye temperature while vertical permeability was on the contrary. The vertical penetration dyeing temperature was 28 ℃ and a permeability of 3.2-4.67 mm under 90℃.In the constant temperature impregnation method, the penetration depth of the dye showed irregular changes with the extension of dyeing time.(2)In the hot and cold alternating method, the dye permeability was between vacuum injection and constant temperature vacuum impregnation. The effect of temperature difference on transverse permeability was much greater than that on the longitudinal permeability and in the same time, the increase of the number of alternating times improved the dye longitudinal and transverse permeability depth.(3)in vacuum injection, the dye longitudinal and transverse permeability depth were the largest, compared with the constant temperature at 90 ℃ for 2 h cooking which increased 2.0-3.0 times.(2)In this paper, several kinds of common fast-growing wood species like Manchurian Ash,and Chinese fir were used as the test materials.Dyeing was studied through a combination of brushing, water coloring and rapid impregnation methods to explore the dispersing and coloring methods on wood surface visual effect. The results showed that the coloring effect on the visual surface of separate methods used alone rather than their combinations gave good decorative effects thus research and development as well as applications of related materials for product design are necessary.(3)In order to improve the dyeing light fastness, increase the quality of the dyeing material and the lasting effect of the decorative effect of the dyeing material, the freshness of the commonly used dye coloring material was studied on a 4-year-old fresh bamboo as the test material.Ultraviolet ray absorber and chitosan pretreated bamboo were added to explore ways to improve the light resistance of dyeing bamboo and the results were as follows:(1)the best dye and acid dye coloring material were selected. Most dyed materials had the smallest change in light intensity, and the red and green color index showed the largest changes.(2)The light fastness of ultraviolet absorbent or chitosan pretreatment improved the dyeing material of reactive dyes and acid dyes however the latter was better than the former and the acid dye,ΔE was below 5,but the two ways of alkaline dyes and the role dyes dispersing were not obvious.(3)The effect of chitosan pretreatment and ultraviolet ray absorber on the light fastness of the dyeing was not better than that of the two separate treatments. |
