Energy cascading utilization and integration of a variety of energy are the important characteristic of distributed energy system(DES).As the deepening of energy sustainable development strategy, the increase of the proportion of renewable energy utilization, the development of distributed energy system shows good tendency in our country. But the integration of a complex energy system is a complicated problem, the simple combination of different equipment(or system)are often unable to get desired effect. For this reason, this paper try to explore the inherent characteristics and laws of the integration of the Distributed Energy System from the perspective of thermodynamic, the multi-objective pinch analysis(MOPA)method is put forward according to the idea of the classic pinch analysis theory. In the whole energy conversion processes of DES,there are affinities among the heat, water and energy supply. This paper proposed the MOPA method based on traditional pinch analysis theory and inherent link of the resources in the system.Extending the analysis from single heat exchanger network analysis to integrated analysis including water, heat and energy supply, and the analysis framework and procedures are given.Firstly, the optimal water utilization network is obtained by minimizing the freshwater flow rate based on water pinch analysis;then on this basis, design the optimal heat exchanger network by heat pinch analysis to get the minimum heat utility;finally obtain the energy structure of the system by carbon pinch analysis according to the minimum heat utility. This paper takes an industrial planning district as an example, integrate the DES using multi-objective pinch analysis and mathematical programming method respectively, and then summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the each method by means of comparing the optimization results including the minimum fresh water consumption, the minimum heat utility, the heat exchange network cost. The results show that the multi-objective pinch analysis is effective in the research of the optimal configuration DES.
